Qualifications
  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Driving License (Preferred)

 

You Are Exceptional At….
  • Identifying new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services and creating a sales pipeline.
  • Generating leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Seeking out the appropriate contact (decision maker).
  • Understanding the needs of your customers and being able to respond effectively with a solution.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Being aware of market trends and competitors.
  • Time and organisational management.
  • Motivating yourself and setting your own goals (we help you with that too!)
  • Using your own initiative and effective decision-making skills.
  • Complying with Industry regulations.
  • Negotiating pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases.
  • Keeping up to date with new regulations, compliance, and competitor activity within the industry.
  • Effectively liaising with the key stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Understanding our products and services and being able to articulate the benefits of Total BGS Energy to prospective customers and partners.
  • Negotiating and closing.
  • Thinking strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
  • Looking for sales opportunities, specifically within energy procurement.
  • Living the drive and focus to exceed targets.
  • Thriving in a result driven environment, operating with integrity and transparency.

Industry experience is beneficial, but certainly not essential, as the right person doing the right things for our Customers is more important than anything else.

As a Business Development Manager here at Total BGS Energy, you will have the opportunity to improve and grow the business, by fostering and developing relationships with customers, suppliers, and Partners alike. You will work to improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate sectors and enhance the operation of the business.

Total BGS Energy are looking to add to our Team of strategically placed Business Development Managers, focused on securing major new contracts across a range of sectors. You are focused on building and creating relationships with prospects and developing a sustainable business pipeline with our customers (both prospective and existing).

If you have got a fabulous track record in sales, but feel you don’t receive the appropriate level of financial reward or recognition for the success you generate, then this is the role for you…

Ideally, you will have at least 12 months experience working in the B2B/B2C energy market and accustomed to field based, geographically disparate remote working. Operating within a specific area in a reasonable travelling distance of your home, your focus is generating revenue through building relationships with business owners and decision makers, on a face to face basis.
